Using industrial by-products such as desulfurization gypsum and phosphogypsum to replace natural gypsum as cement setting agents is one of the effective ways to consume a large amount of these solid wastes.Given this, based on the study of the physical and chemical properties of sulfur gypsum and phosphorus gypsum, this article systematically compares the effects of two types of gypsum as setting agents on the performance of cement. The results show that desulfurization gypsum is neutral, but phosphorus gypsum comes from different sources and can exhibit firm acidity, neutrality, and strong alkalinity. The F,P,heavy metal leaching characteristics, and reflectance of the four types of gypsum used in the experiment all meet the requirements of a building materials class. The performance stability of the cement mixed with desulfurization gypsum is good, and the dosage fluctuation has a small impact on the cement performance. However, the impurity composition of phosphogypsum is complex, and the setting time of the cement mixed with desulfurization gypsum is generally more than twice that of the cement mixed with desulfurization gypsum. The changes in the origin and dosage of phosphogypsum significantly impact the setting time and strength of the mixed cement. The dosage needs to be strictly controlled during use.Otherwise,it will lead to unqualified cement.
