Clinical Efficacy:Joint Treatment of Moderate to Severe Acnes with CO2 Dot Matrix Laser and Red and Blue Light Therapy Instrument
Objective To analyze the effectiveness and safety to treat moderate to severe acnes jointly with CO2 lattice laser and red and blue light therapy equipment.Methods Totally 78 patients with moderate and severe acnes diagnosed over the period from Jan.2017 to Dec.2021 were selected and divided into two groups by treating modality:the control group(n=38)and observation group(n=40).The patients in the control group were treated with red and blue light therapy instrument,and those in the observation group were given the treatment of CO2 point array laser in addition.The clinical efficacy,acne grading,skin barrier function,life quality,adverse effects and recurrence were compared between the two groups.Results After 8 weeks,the total effective rate of the observation group and control group was 90.00％(36/40)and 60.53％(23/38)respectively,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Gags scores were reduced in both groups,and the reduction was greater in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Skin barrier functions of both groups were improved.In addition,the water content of stratum corneum was higher,and the transepidermal water loss and facial seborrhea were lower in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).The life quality was also improved in both groups,and the improvement was greater in the observation group than in the control group(P＜0.05).Within one week of the treatment,the incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,but the difference was not remarkable(P＞0.05).The results of 3 months'follow-up showed that the recurrence rate of the observation group was lower than that of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusions Treating moderate to severe acnes jointly with CO2 lattice laser and red and blue light therapy equipment is rather effective and safe with a low recurrence rate,which will improve acne symptoms at an early stage as well as promote the recovery of skin barrier functions.
