Mechanism and Research Advances of Photobiomodulation Therapy for Oral Mucosal Diseases
Photobiomodulation therapy(PBMT),also known as low-level laser therapy(LLLT),has demonstrated positive therapeutic effects in the treatment of oral mucosal diseases.The efficacy of LLLT is closely related to the parameters of the light source used and the dosage of the light administered.In this paper,the mechanism and recent research advancements of photobiomodulation in the field of oral mucosal diseases were reviewed.
