Observation on Joint Efficacy of Fractional CO2 Laser and Collagen in Treatment of Striae Gravidarum
Objective To investigate the joint efficacy of fractional C02 laser and type Ⅲ collagen for the treatment of abdominal striae gravidarum(SG)and observe its complications. Methods Totally 54 SG patients treated between Jan.2020 and Jan.2024 were selected and randomly divided into an experimental group(Group A)and a control group(Group B),27 patients in each group. All the patients were given CO2 fractional laser treatment three times at an interval of 2 months, which was performed firstly in continuous mode at a power of 1 W to vaporize scar tissues and then in fractional mode(energy:120 mJ,spacing:0.6 mm,coverage:13.5%,repeat:1 time, spot shape:square, spot scanning area:6 mm×6 mm,discrete light emission and uniform coverage). While the patients in Group B being given only routine treatment after each laser treatment, the patients in Group A were applied type Ⅲ collagen in addition. Two months after the last laser treatment, the SG recovery of the patients was observed, and the clinical efficacy was compared between the two groups. Results After the treatment, the total effective rate was 81%in Group A(significantly effective patients:15,effective patients:7,ineffective patients:5)and 67%in Group B(significantly effective patients:10,effective patients:8,ineffective patients:9).The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of patients was 81%in Group A and 6%in Group B respectively, and the difference was not remarkable(P>0.05).Despite of 2 cases of itching being found in Group A and 4 cases of itching and 1 case of scar being found in Group,no complication occurred in either group B.The difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions The combination of fractional CO 2 laser and type Ⅲ collagen will treat stretch marks effectively while reducing the incidence of related complications.
