Vaccination services for children with underlying medical conditions who visited the consultation vaccination clinic of Kunming Children's Hospital,2021-2022
Objective To analyze vaccination services for children with underlying medical conditions.Methods We selected children with underlying medical conditions who visited the consultation vaccination clinic of Kunming Children's Hospital between July 2021 and December 2022 and collected data on vaccination suggestions based on medical evaluation and vaccination implementation.We analyzed proportions of underlying medical conditions,proportions of vaccination suggestions,and incidences of adverse reactions following vaccination.Results A total of 848 children with underlying medical conditions were included,among which 40.56%,13.21%,20.52%,and 25.71%were aged 1-6 months,7-11 months,1-2 years,and 3-12 years,respectively.Children with neurological,neonatal,and cardiovascular conditions accounted for 32.19%(273 cases),31.37%(266 cases),and 13.21%(112 cases)of all children.Based on medical evaluation,48.94%(415 cases),23.82%(202 cases),9.43%(80 cases),8.25%(70 cases),and 9.55%(81 cases)of children were suggested to receive all schedule vaccines,receive schedule vaccines at one dose per visit,receive inactivated vaccines only,receive inactivated vaccines at 1 dose per visit,and receive no vaccinations.The incidence of adverse reactions after vaccination was 2.75%(20/727),and all reactions were mild.Conclusions The majority of children with underlying medical conditions could receive vaccines based on medical evaluation;the vaccination consultation clinic provided good,personalized vaccination services.
