Satisfaction with vaccination services and factors influencing satisfaction among guardians of children in Yunnan province
Objective To explore guardians'satisfaction with childhood vaccination services and factors influencing satisfaction in Yunnan province.Methods We used a stratified sampling method to select guardians of children in vaccination clinics in all counties/districts of Yunnan for a questionnaire-based survey,and determined their level of satisfaction with childhood vaccination services and factors influencing satisfaction.Results The overall level of satisfaction with 11 items relating to vaccination services was 93.44%(7 568/8 099),ranging from 89.90%to 98.84%.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that satisfaction was higher among guardians of 3-6-year-olds than among guardians of<3-year-olds[OR(95%CI):1.45(1.19-1.77)];was lower among guardians with junior college/bachelor's degree and graduate or above degree than guardians with high school education or below[OR(95%CI):0.60(0.45-0.79)and 0.26(0.17-0.42)];was higher among freelance workers,business personnel,medical workers,and civil servants/public institution personnel than among farmers and unemployed people[OR(95%CI):1.43(1.11-1.84),1.84(1.25-2.70),2.91(1.77-4.79),and 3.45(2.19-5.44)];was higher among guardians with an annual family income of 50 to 100 thousand yuan than guardians with a family income of less than 50 thousand yuan[OR(95%CI):1.29(1.06-1.56)];and was lower among guardians whose homes were more than 5 kilometers away from the vaccination unit than among guardians whose homes were less than 2 kilometers away[OR(95%CI):0.58(0.46-0.73)].Conclusions The level of satisfaction with childhood vaccination services was generally high among guardians in Yunnan.It is necessary to further optimize the allocation of vaccination resources and refine childhood vaccination services.
