Correlation between the spiritual needs of patients with endometrial cancer and their self-perceived burden and disease un-certainty
Objective:To explore the correlation between the spiritual needs of patients with endometrial cancer and their self-perceived burden and disease uncertainty. Methods:A total of 113 patients with endometrial cancer admitted to hospital from February 2022 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects. The spiritual needs, the self-per-ceived burden and uncertainty of disease of the patients were investigated. The correlation between the spiritual needs of the patients with endometrial cancer and their self-perceived burden and disease uncertainty was analyzed by Pearson correlation analysis.Multiple linear regression was used to analyze the influencing factors of the spiritual needs of the patients were analyzed. Results:The scores of the spiritual need of the patients was 39.81±8.29 points, and the scores of existential need, inner peace, active giving and religious need in the spiritual need of the patients were 15.22±2.63 points,12.87±2.56 points,9.36±1.79 points and 5.13±1.29 points, respectively. The self-perceived burden score of the patients was 24.62±4.71 points, and the scores of emotional factors, economic factors and physical factors of the patients in self-perceived burden were 9.86±2.34 points,2.52±1.46 points and 12.53±3.88 points, respectively. The spiritual need score of the patients was positively correlated with their disease self-perceived burden score(P<0.05).The disease uncertainty score of the patients was 59.23±9.65 points, and the scores of lacks of clarification,unpredict-ability and ambiguity of the patients in disease uncertainty were 18.64±8.33 points,10.86±3.57 points and 25.75± 5.62 points, respectively. The spiritual need score of the patients was positively correlated with their disease uncertainty score(P<0.05).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that the education level, the treatment cost payment model, the self-perceived burden and the disease uncertainty of the patients were the factors influencing their spiritual needs(P<0.05).Conclusion:The spiritual needs of the patients with endometrial cancer in this survey are at a moderate level, and the scores of which are closely related to the patients'self-perceived burden and disease uncertain-ty.The spiritual needs of the patients can be improved by improving their self-perceived burden and disease uncertainty in clinic.
