Changes of the levels of neurofilament light Chain Protein, human gamma interferon inducible protein 16 and transforming growth factor β1 of pregnant women with preeclampsia and their predictive value for the pregnancy outcomes
Objective:To study the changes of the levels of neurofilament light Chain Protein(NfL),human gamma in-terferon inducible protein 16(IFI16)and transforming growth factor β1 of paregnant women with preeclampsia(PE),and to study their predictive value for the pregnancy outcomes of the women.Methods:97 pregnant women with PE were selected in study group and were divided into group A(32 cases with normal pregnancy outcomes),group B(27 cases with adverse maternal outcomes),and group C(38 cases with the adverse perinatal outcomes)according to the perinatal outcomes from January 2021 to January 2023.95 healthy pregnant women were selected in control group dur-ing the same period. The levels of the serum NfL,IFI16 and TGF-β1 levels of the women in these groups and their predictive values for the pregnancy outcomes of the women were analyzed. Results:The levels of the serum NfL(4.89 ±0.56 pg/ml),IFI16(17.84±2.14 ng/ml)and TGF-β1(84.21±9.41 pg/ml)of the women in the study group were significantly higher than those(4.41±0.16 pg/ml,13.35±1.28)ng/ml and 68.71±5.98 pg/ml)of the women in the control group. The levels of serum NfL,IFI16 and TGF-β1 of the women in group A,in group B and in group C had increased gradually(all P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of the serum NfL level of the women with PE for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes was 0.807,the sensitivity of which was 82.7%,the specificity of which was 85.0%,and the cut-off value of which was 4.64pg/ml.The AUC of the serum IFI16 level of the women with PE for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes was 0.973,the sensitivity of which was 86.9%,the specificity of which was 90.0%,and the cut-off value of which was 15.69 ng/ml.The AUC of the serum TGF-β1 level of the women with PE for predicting their adverse pregnancy outcomes was 0.921,the sensitivity of which was 93.5%,the specificity of which was 98.5%,and the cut-off value of which was 74.56 pg/ml.Conclusion:The levels of the serum NfL,IFI16 and TGF-β1 of the pregnant women with PE are abnor-mal and are closely related to the adverse pregnancy outcomes of the women, and which can be used as the indicators to evaluate the pregnancy outcomes of the women effectively.
