Financial incentives for smoking cessation:status of the field and related theories
Tobacco use poses a huge health risk and economic burden,and it remains a public health problem that needs to be addressed urgently.As a behavioral treatment intervention,financial incentive programs have been shown to be effective in increasing smoking cessation rates both in general and specific smokers,but there are still many unresolved is-sues remained.This paper reviewed the current application and theories of financial incentive interventions for smoking cessa-tion in order to provide a reference for the subsequent intervention among Chinese smokers,exploring behavioral changes and their influencing factors.
