Analysis on the popularization of Traditional Chinese Medicine health cultural knowledge and its influencing factors among residents in Anhui Province in 2021
Objective To analyze the popularization of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health cultural knowledge and its influencing factors among residents in Anhui Province in 2021,and to provide scientific basis for making targeted TCM popularization policies.Methods A total of 2913 permanent residents aged 15-69 years in Anhui Province were selected by multi-stage sampling method for household questionnaire survey.Results 2909 valid questionnaires were collected.The valid rate was 99.86％.In 2021,the penetration rate of TCM health literacy among residents in Anhui Prov-ince was 88.14％.There were differences in the popularity of TCM knowledge among different groups.Compared with fe-male,rural or illiterate/less literate population,the residents who was male(OR=1.320,95％CI:1.001-1.740),or urban(OR=1.623,95％CI:1.246-2.114),or college/undergraduate and above(OR=18.965,95％CI:8.531-42.161)had higher level of TCM health literacy.Gender,urban/rural distribution and education level were independent factors associated with the popularization of TCM health knowledge among residents.Conclusion It is necessary to formu-late targeted TCM health education and health promotion strategies according to group characteristics,strengthen the popular-ization of TCM health culture in key areas and key groups,and to pay attention to improving the contents and transmission channels of TCM science popularization in order to improve TCM health literacy and carry forward the important role of TCM.
