Trends in professional staffs of provincial health education professional institutions in China from 2016 to 2022
Objective To understand the personnel structure of professional staffs in provincial health education institutions in China from 2016 to 2022,and to provide reference for the development of health education talent teams.Methods Using the National Health Education Statistical Report as the data source,the"Basic Situation Survey Form of Health Education Institutes"and the"Basic Situation Table of Health Education Human Resources"were used to analyze the changes in the number,structure of provincial health education institutions in China from 2016 to 2022.Results In 2022,provincial health education institutions across the country had a gender ratio of 0.55:1,with women nearly dou-bling men.The staff had an average age of(40.17±9.06)years and 10 years of work experience.Each institution had an average of 24 staff members,with 16 being full-time.Compared to 2016,the numbers of staffs who aged 35-44(10.86%),had master degree or above(15.22%),graduated from preventive medicine,journalism,and communica-tion(5.82%),intermediate or higher titles(7.50%)were increased.However,the number of full-time staff was de-creased.In 2022,professional staffs from provincial health education institutions in the Eastern and Middle were superior to those in the Western in terms of age,education background,professional expertise,and professional titles struc-ture.Conclusion From 2016 to 2022,the education level,expertise,and professional titles of personnel in provincial health education institutions have gradually improved.However,the gender ratio has decreased,and some non-independent institutions have insufficient personnel allocation.
