Application of Satya model group guidance in suicide ideation intervention among college students
Objective To explore the effect of Satya model group guidance in suicidal ideation among college students, and to provide evidence for prevention and control of suicidal behavior in college students. Methods A random cluster sampling method was used to select 20 class students which were randomly divided into intervention group and control group, with 10 classes in each group. The intervention group adopted the Satya model group guidance for intervention while the control group did not take any intervention. After 3 months of follow-up intervention, the suicidal ideation, life meaning and self-harmony of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results After intervention, the rate of suicidal ideation in the intervention group(6.13%)was lower than that in the control group(10.31%)and before intervention(11.74%)(P<0.05).The scores of the intervention group on suicidal behavior(2.98±0.56),suicide patients(2.81±0.45),suicide families(2.97±0.36)and euthanasia(2.95±0.61)were higher than that of the control group and before inter-vention(P<0.05).The life meaning score(25.15±3.12)and meaning seeking score(26.82±3.63)in the interven-tion group were higher than that of the control group(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, there were significant differences in the scores of disharmony between self-regulation and experience(45.32±8.21),self-flexibility(47.81±8.27)and self-rigidity(16.03±3.92)in the intervention group(P<0.05).Conclusion Satya model group guidance has positive intervention effect on college students'suicidal ideation and is worth spreading in colleges.
