Analysis on traditional Chinese medicine health literacy and its influencing factors among residents in Gansu Province,2021
Objective To analyze the level of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health literacy among resi-dents in Gansu Province,and to provide a basis for policy making of TCM health literacy popularization in Gansu Prov-ince.Methods The residents aged 15-69 years old in Gansu Province were randomly selected and the questionnaire of Chinese Citizens TCM Health Literacy was used to understand the health literacy level.Multivariate logistic regression analy-sis was used to determinate the main factors associated with TCM health culture knowledge popularization rate.Results A total of 1952 people were investigated in 8 monitoring points in Gansu Province in 2021.The popularization rate of health cul-ture knowledge of TCM was 97.39％,the reading rate was 97.28％,the trust rate was 95.85％,and the action rate was 60.86％.Multivariate logistic regression showed that urban and rural areas(OR=2.331,P＜0.05),age(OR=0.968,P＜0.05),education level(elementary school:OR=13.962;junior high school:OR=25.389;high school/vocational high school/technical secondary school:OR=26.899;junior college/undergraduate:OR=42.230;master's degree OR above:OR=13.486,all P＜0.05),occupation(OR=0.961,P＜0.05)and household registration(OR=2.751,P＜0.05)were the influencing factors of TCM health culture knowledge popularization rate.Conclusion In 2021,the popularization rate,reading rate,trust rate and action of TCM health culture knowledge of residents in Gansu Province in-crease significantly.Urban and rural areas,age,educational level,occupation,household registration are the influencing factors of the popularization rate of TCM health culture knowledge.According to different ages,different media methods should be used to promote the knowledge of TCM health culture among residents.
