Effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on emotional intervention among type 2 diabetes patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression in community
Objective To explore the effect of cognitive behavioral therapy on emotion intervention among type 2 di-abetes patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression in community. Methods Patients with type 2 diabetes who came to Xicheng District Community Health Service Center from October 2021 to June 2022 were selected. The generalized anxiety scale(GAD-7)and depression scale(PHQ-9)were used to assess the anxiety and depression status of patients.According to the random number table,83 patients with mild and moderate anxiety and depression were selected and randomly divided into control group(42 cases)and intervention group(41 cases). The control group was given routine management of diabetes, and the intervention group was given cognitive behavioral therapy based on routine management, both of them had 6-months course of treatment. The differences in GAD-7 and PHQ-9 scores and blood glucose control levels between the two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results After the intervention, the GAD-7 score[(3.29±3.72)points before interven-tion,(2.17±2.98)points after intervention]and PHQ-9 score[(7.20±2.91)points before intervention,(3.17±3.38)points after intervention]in the intervention group significantly decreased. The GAD-7 score showed a statistically significant difference before and after intervention(P<0.05),and the PHQ-9 score showed a statistically significant difference before and after intervention(P<0.01).The levels of glycated hemoglobin in the intervention group[(7.06±1.48)%before in-tervention and(6.57±1.01)%after intervention]showed statistically significant differences before and after intervention(P<0.01),while the levels of blood creatinine[(61.16±19.79)umol/L before intervention and(63.67±18.59)umol/L after intervention]showed statistically significant differences before and after intervention(P<0.05).Conclusion Cogni-tive behavioral therapy may improve the emotional state of type 2 diabetes patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression in community, which is beneficial to mental health of patients and is more conducive to the regulation of blood sugar.
