Development and validation of health emergency literacy assessment questionnaire for residents
Objective To develop a health emergency literacy assessment questionnaire and to examine its reliability and validity of the questionnaire for providing a tool for research on health emergency literacy among residents. Methods Based on literature review and expert consultation,we established a theoretical framework and index system. And the items of question-naire were developed based on the established index system.A total of 1200 residents in Xuhui district were selected by multi-stage random and proportional to population size sampling to conduct a questionnaire survey. The data were used for i-tem analysis, and then initial questionnaire was modified to form a formal evaluation questionnaire. The selected items re-tained after item analysis were brought into the homogeneity reliability, content validity and structural validity.Fifty residents from 1200 residents were re-selected for retest reliability analysis. Results The final assessment questionnaire included three dimensions with a total of 26 items:functional, interactive and critical health literacy. The value of Cronbach's α of total questionnaire was 0.740,which in three dimensions were 0.607-0.807.The value of split-half reliability of total questionnaire was 0.797.The value of retest reliability of total questionnaire was 0.741,which in three dimensions were 0.676-0.712.The correlation coefficient value of total questionnaire and each sub-questionnaire were between 0.499-0.812(P<0.01).The confirmatory factor analysis showed x2/df=3.642,RMSEA=0.047,GFI=0.929,AGFI=0.915,CFI=0.876.Conclusion The evaluation index system for residents'health emergency literacy has good reliability and validity and could be used for estimating residents health emergency literacy.
