Analysis of tobacco epidemic status and its influencing factors among adolescents in Taizhou City of Zhejiang Province in 2022
Objective To analyze the current situation and its influencing factors of adolescent smoking in Taizhou City of Zhejiang Province in 2022,and to provide scientific basis for formulating adolescent smoking control and prevention strategies.Methods By using multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method,a total of 2927 adolescents from three monitoring sites in Taizhou City of Zhejiang Province were selected to fill adolescent health risk factors monitoring question-naire.Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of adolescent current smoking and second-hand smoke exposure.Results The smoking rate of teenagers in Taizhou was 6.12%,the attempted smoking rate was 25.61%,and the exposure rate of second-hand smoke was 56.17%.The results of multiple logistic regression showed that middle school(OR=0.360,95%CI:0.234-0.553),regular high school(OR=0.361,95%CI:0.223-0.585),male(OR=2.162,95%CI:1.478-3.162),man who living together smoking(OR=6.223,95%CI:2.468-15.694),and women who living together smoking(OR=9.953,95%CI:1.517-65.305),both man and women who living together smoking(OR=28.875,95%CI:11.433-72.924)were contributing factors to adolescent smok-ing.Middle school students(OR=0.784,95%CI:0.623-0.985),regular high school students(OR=0.677,95%CI:0.532-0.863),and man who living together smoking(OR=4.626,95%CI:3.804-5.625),and women who living to-gether smoking(OR=3.890,95%CI:1.462-10.354),both man and women who living together smoking(OR=7.881,95%CI:5.966-10.410)were the influencing factors for adolescent secondhand smoke use.Conclusion The establishment of smoke-free environment in Taizhou City has been made some achievements,but the smoking rate of teenagers is still rela-tively high,especially in non-ordinary high schools in rural areas.It still needs the cooperation of community,schools and families to participate in the work of smoking control to reduce the smoking behavior of teenagers.
