Objective To understand the knowledge and ability of college students to prevent HIV,and to explore key factors in the occurrence of risky sexual behavior. Methods Through PPS-cluster sampling,a questionnaire survey was conducted among students in a medical university.Based on the information-motivation-behavioral skills(IMB)model,a mediating effect model was constructed to verify the mediating role of behavioral skills in the influence of motivation on behav-ior.Results A tolal of 1433 question naires were collected,of which 1424 were valid, with an effective recovery rate of 99.37%.Information and motivation were two independent factors that influenced behavior through behavioral skills, and information had no direct effect on behavior.Behavioral skills played a partial-mediating role in the influence of motivation on behavior[astd*bstd/(c'+astd*bstd)=15.24%].Conclusion Targeted intervention measures on behaviors should be formulated according to the characteristics of college students.
