Effect evaluation on tobacco control in health care institutions by unannounced visits in Shanghai,2022
Objective To understand the implementation effectiveness and shortcomings of tobacco control in health care institutions in Shanghai system,and to provide reference basis for policy formulation.Methods From Septem-ber to October 2022,a comprehensive survey method and a multi-stage random sampling method were used to investigate the implementation of tobacco control measures in various health care institutions in Shanghai.Kruskal Wallis H test and x2test were used to analyze the difference of tobacco control effect.Results In 2022,the median score of tobacco control effect by unannounced visits in health care institutions was 98.00(90.01,100.00).The results of Kruskal Wallis H test showed that the median score of public maternal and child health hospitals/maternity and pediatric hospitals was 100.00(99.00,100.00),which was higher than that of other types of medical institutions.The median score of smoking ban index in the ar-ea of public secondary/tertiary general hospitals was 17.33(12.33,20.00),which was lower than that of other medical institutions.The above differences were statistically significant(P＜0.05).x2 test results showed that in the full mark rate of various environmental indicators and implementation indicators,the full mark rate of public secondary general hospitals/terti-ary general hospitals in the area of smoking ban was 31.25％(5/16),which was lower than that of other institutions(P＜0.05).Conclusion The overall effectiveness of smoking control in various health care institutions in Shanghai is good.In the future,it is necessary to focus on the smoking control situation in medical institutions,and continue to improve the smoking control level in this city by standardizing the setting of outdoor smoking points,increasing the coverage of smoking ban signs,and strengthening smoking control publicity.
