Analysis on the willingness of healthcare professionals to participate in health science video production training and its influencing factors
Objective To understand the willingness of healthcare professionals to participate in training for health science video production and its influencing factors, and to provide theoretical support for developing effective training strate-gies for health science video production. Methods From March to May 2024,a convenience sampling method was used to survey doctors, nurses, technicians, and related administrative staffs from medical institutions in 28 provinces and cities.A multivariate logistic regression model was employed to analyze the main factors influencing healthcare professionals'willing-ness to participate in health science video production training. Results A total of 2083 healthcare professionals were includ-ed,of whom 77.63%expressed willingness to participate in training for health science video production.Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that the healthcare professionalswho was interested at health science production(OR=1.952,95%CI:1.241-3.072),participated in science video related training(OR=1.409,95%CI:1.069-1.856),en-couraged by incentive policies in their unit(OR=1.468,95%CI:1.071-2.012),and the healthcare profession-alswhothought science popularization ability could help enhance social influence(OR=2.248,95%CI:1.591-3.176),science popularization work made me gain respect and trust from patients(OR=2.579,95%CI:1.546-4.303),sci-ence popularization skills had a positive impact on life and work(OR=2.156,95%CI:1.544-3.012),and medical staffs who were confident to complete the course(OR=2.065,95%CI:1.429-2.985)had stronger willingness to par-ticipate in health video training. However, the healthcare professionalswhowere male(OR=0.524,95%CI:0.361-0.758),had working years of 0-10 years(OR=0.657,95%CI:0.516-0.836),saw partners around learning sci-ence skills(OR=0.518,95%CI:0.299-0.900),and thought that video production was difficult(OR=0.680,95%CI:0.481-0.963)were less willing to participate in the training of health science video production. Conclusion Health-care professionals show strong willingness to participate in training for health science video production, but their attitudes and willingness are influenced by multiple factors. Therefore,it is recommended that relevant departments consider the actual needs and expectations of healthcare professionals when developing training programs and strengthen the relevance and practi-cality of the training content.
