This study takes the progress of the pilot work of"new city construction"in Guangzhou as the starting point,through the full investigation of the pilot work of"new city construction"in Guangzhou,and on the basis of sorting out and summarizing the highlights explored in the process of promoting the pilot work of"new city construction"in Guangzhou,The paper analyzes the challenges faced by the pilot work of"new city construction"in China at the present stage,such as poor cross-departmental coordination,lagging construction of regulations and standards,single source of funds,immature industrial ecology,insufficient impetus for independent innovation,and lack of evaluation and assessment mechanism,and explores the relevant ways to break the bureau.
