Application and Exploration of BIM CDE in Tseung Kwan O Desalination Plant Project
The advantages of CDE for information management are very obvious.First of all,the advantage of information sharing:the participants upload the required information to the CDE,and each unit downloads it by itself according to the specific needs,greatly reducing the workload of information inspection and release;Second,a single source of information,information summarized in CDE,can achieve real-time update,and a single source,easy to trace the source,to ensure the reliability of information;Finally,efficient information exchange can not only improve the efficiency of project collaboration,but also effectively manage the flow of information,while improving the transparency of the entire project,helping to predict and reduce risk.In the theoretical system of BIM,CDE is a very important concept,but it is rarely mentioned in China at present,and there is even no unified official name,some translations are:public data environment,and some translations are:common data environment,general data environment,and so on.CDE corresponds to more than just a piece of software,which cannot solve the problem.It needs supporting methods.Just like"BIM"is not a piece of software,CDE corresponds to a standard management method and process,which can better regulate various information generated in the whole life cycle of a building.
