In order to improve the efficiency and accuracy of residential building design,this article introduces an AI based BIM design project example for residential buildings.Firstly,the basic situation and requirements of the building were outlined,followed by a detailed explanation of the process of establishing a BIM component library for residential buildings,and the basic units of the building were set up.In the AI assisted design section,the automatic layout of components was achieved through initialization input and database creation operations,combined with AI algorithms.In the end,the architectural design achievements based on AI technology demonstrated their significant advantages in residential building design.The research results indicate that AI based BIM design methods can significantly improve design efficiency,reduce design costs,and bring innovative solutions to the field of residential architecture.
