Application of Elastic Deformation Machining Method to Generate Aspheric Surface Glass
Traditional aspherical surface machining technologies have disadvantages such as high dependency of precision machining equipment and low efficiency in batch production. An elastic deformation machining method for thin aspherical components was studied herein, which can transfer the aspherical machining to planar machining.By theoretical calculation and ABAQUS finite element simulation, the elastical deformation profile of circular glass plate was determined when the plate was simply supported and bearing a uniform pressure, and the experiments were carried out.The RMS(root mean square) value and PV(peak valley) value of the form error between machined surface and target profile is as 1.66μm and 2.8μm respectively, which verify the validation of elastic deformation method for the machining of thin aspherical components.
