Research Progress in Isothermal Amplification Technology for Detecting Mosquito-borne Infectious Diseases
Mosquito-borne diseases(AEDs)are natural pathogenic diseases transmitted by pathogens through mosquito bites, which are extremely difficult to prevent and control.Isothermal amplification is a technology that can amplify nucleic acids at a constant temperature. It has the characteristics of low instrument dependence, high detection efficiency, good sensitivity, and strong specificity, and is very suitable for rapid detection in outdoor environments or epidemic sites. The paper elaborates on the principles and characteristics of loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP),recombinase-polymerase amplification(RPA),recombinase-aid amplification(RAA),nucleic-acid sequence-based amplification(NASBA),helicase-dependent amplification(HDA)and crossing-priming amplification(CPA),and their application in the detection of mosquito-borne infectious diseases such as Zika virus(ZIKV),dengue virus(DENV),yellow fever virus(YEV),chikungunya virus(CHIKV),and Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV).
