Analysis of a Case of HIV and Syphilis Co-infection in an Outbound Crew Member
The co-infection of Human Immunodeficiency Virus(HIV)and syphilis has become a new public health problem.Due to the weakened immunity system of HIV-infected individuals,they are more susceptible to other infectious pathogens,including syphilis.Both HIV and syphilis share similar infection methods and high-risk populations,making the clinical manifestations and laboratory diagnosis of infected individuals more complex.The co-infection of the two pathogens can cause serious consequences to human body.The article provides an analysis and discussion of a case of co-infection of HIV and syphilis in an outbound crew member,offering reference for monitoring and prevention of infectious diseases at border ports.
