Research and Application of Rapid On-site Detection Technology for Coal Ash Content
This study introduces a novel method for the rapid on-site determination of coal ash content, utilizing monochromatic wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(MWD-XRF)to comprehensively analyze the elemental composition of coal samples.A predictive model for coal ash content, along with a calibration model, has been developed through a full-spectrum fitting approach based on the component analysis and empirical data of ash content measurements. This method ensures rapid and precise quantification of coal ash content at the point of sampling. The technique demonstrates excellent linearity, with results that are not significantly different from those obtained using national standard methods. The method boasts a detection limit of 0.11%and a detection range from 0.33%-100%.It addresses the need for expedited ash content assessment in coal and provides a valuable tool for various stages, including coal production, distribution, and customs clearance.
