Monitoring and Analysis of Syphilis among Entry-exit Personnel at Wuhan Port during 2020-2023
This paper investigates the surveillance results and influencing factors of syphilis among entry-exit personnel at Wuhan port from 2020 to 2023,providing a theoretical basis for scientific detection and anti-cross-border transmission of syphilis. The syphilis surveillance results of the entry-exit personnel who did health examination in Hubei International Travel Health Care Center from 2020 to 2023 were statistically analyzed. The total number of people monitored was 74121,of which 294 were positive for syphilis, and the overall positive detection rate was 0.40%.There was no significant statistical difference in the annual positive detection rate(p>0.05).The positive detection rate of syphilis was higher among entry population than that among exit population(p<0.001).The positive rate of female was lower than that of male(p<0.001).The detection rate of syphilis in different age groups was different, and the positive detection rate in≥60 years old group was the highest.During the monitoring period, the positive detection rate of labor workers was the highest among the exit population, while the positive detection rate of foreign marriage immigrates was the highest among the entry population(p<0.05).Sexual transmission is still the main mode of syphilis transmission. We should pay attention to the monitoring of syphilis, establish a joint prevention and control mechanism, strengthen health education, and reinforce the prevention and control of key groups such as people over 60,male,exit labor workers and entry foreign marriage immigrates.
