Analysis of Issues Related to Attribute Identification of Recyled Plastic Solid Waste
The series standards of GB/T 40006 are applied to recycled plastic particles made from waste thermoplastics, which can be used for their original purpose or other purposes. The attribute identification of solid waste of recycled plastic particles mainly focuses on their radioactivity, appearance, host material and restricted substances(including heavy metals,PBBs and phthalates).Combined with the actual work,we have analyzed and discussed the attribute identification of recycled plastic solid waste:adhesive samples with particle sizes less than 5 mm are not recommended as solid waste;odor grade test with instruments is recommended to meet the needs for testing or rapid testing;the appearance difference of different particles in mixed samples is little,so it is difficult to predict the inconsistency of sample components based on differences in appearance properties;in addition to heavy metals,PBBs and phthalate esters limited by GB/T 40006 series standards, other hazardous substances are recommended as solid waste judgment points if they exceed the relevant standards and legal and regulatory limits.
