Analysis of the Results of Syphilis Surveillance among the Entry-exit Population at Xiamen Port in 2023
Through the analysis of syphilis test results of 7147 entry-exit personnel for infectious disease surveillance at Xiamen Port in 2023,this study aims to understand the infection status of syphilis among entry-exit personnel,providing scientific basis for effective monitoring and prevention of cross-border transmission of infectious diseases at Xiamen Port.According to the results,39 cases of syphilis infection were detected,the total detection rate was 0.546%.The highest positive detection rate among different age groups is among the population aged 50 and above,followed by those aged 30-39.The differences in syphilis positive detection rate among different age groups are statistically significant(χ2=49.837,p<0.01).Labor workers have the highest positive detection rate among different occupational categories,followed by business workers,and the differences in syphilis positive detection rate among different professions are statistically significant(χ2=11.89,p=0.018).Therefore,in order to effectively prevent the cross-border transmission of diseases,the customs should further strengthen the monitoring of syphilis among key populations entering and exiting ports,strengthen publicity and education,and enhance the self-protection awareness of entry and exit personnel.
