Intervention effect of Kinesio tape combined with transcranial magnetic stimulation on post-stroke articulation disorders
Objective:To explore the intervention effect of Kinesio tape combined with transcranial magnetic stimu-lation(TMS)on post-stroke articulation disorders. Methods:A total of 75 patients with post-stroke articulation dis-orders were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 25 cases in each group. The control group received routine train-ing,including breathing training, lip and tongue exercises, and vocal pronunciation training, for 30 min a day,5 days a week.Observation group 1 was treated with Kinesio tape on the bases of the control group, while observation group 2 was treated with TMS on the bases of observation group 1.The speech loudness, clarity, longest duration of speech(MPT),and Frenchay articulation disorders were evaluated, and differences in speech loudness, clarity, respiratory control ability, and motor function of articulation organs were compared among three groups before and 4 weeks after treatment. Results:Before treatment, there was no statistically significant difference in speech loudness, speech clarity,MPT value, and Frenchay articulation disorder score among the three groups. After 4 weeks of treatment, the speech loudness, speech clarity,MPT value, and Frenchay articulation disorder scores in the combi-nation treatment group were higher than those in the control group and Kinesio tape group(P<0.05),and the speech loudness, speech clarity,MPT value, and Frenchay articulation disorder scores in the three groups were bet-ter after treatment than before treatment(P<0.05).Conclusion:The combination of Kinesio tape and TMS can significantly improve the patient's speech loudness, clarity, respiratory control ability, and motor function of articu-latory organs.
