Analysis of the fracture failure of the low-speed gear in the input shaft for a granulator main gearbox
As to the case of low-speed gear damage on the input shaft of the main gearbox of a large-scale extrusion granulation unit, this study established a dynamic model of the main gearbox with MASTA software. It was analyzed from two aspects of vibration noise and tooth surface contact for digging out the causes of the surface damage of low-speed pinion, and a new modification scheme and improvement suggestions of gear manufacturing error control are given to avoid the recurrence of damage to the gear pair.
