A certain aircraft engine experienced a significant reduction in the remaining rotation time of the gas generator rotor during the vehicle test process.Upon inspection,it was found that there was scraping and wear on the gas generator stator. This article establishes a fault tree based on the structural characteristics of the gas generator rotor of the engine, locates the possible factors that may cause the fault, and gradually identifies the cause of the fault. After analyzing and studying the mechanism of the fault, effective measures to improve the rotor concentricity are proposed to eliminate related faults,in order to provide reference for the study of scraping and wear on the stator of similar aircraft engines.
