The Natural Science Foundation is the main channel for supporting basic research.The Natural Science Foundation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region,as an important component of Xinjiang's science and technology planning system,provides solid scientific and technological support for the high-quality development of Xinjiang's economy and society.This article takes the Natural Science Foundation of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region from 2018 to 2022 as the research object,systematically summarizes its reform measures,as well as the achievements in high-level talent cultivation,high-quality scientific research output,high-level scientific research platform construction,and supporting and leading local economic and social development.It analyzes the existing problems and puts forward countermeasures and suggestions for the management of the Natural Science Foundation of the autonomous region.
