With the acceleration of urban-rural integration process,the traditional village planning and layout ideas cannot be consistent with the trend of modernization.In order to improve the rationality of village planning,GIS technology must be applied reasonably.The difficulty coefficient of village planning is high,so it is necessary to understand the geological terrain,land use,transportation facilities and population distribution in advance.GIS technology has significant advantages in data integration,analysis and processing,and can provide data support for village planning and form a more applicable planning scheme.Based on this,this paper starts from the role of GIS system,explores the specific application of GIS technology in village planning in detail,and points out the importance of GIS technology through case analysis,which has guiding and reference significance for practical work.
