Fuel Icing Test and Analysis for Civil Turboshaft Engine
Combined with the requirements of the"Aero Engine Airworthiness Regulations"(CCAR-33R2),this paper analyzes the necessity of carrying out fuel icing test for civil turboshaft engines.Due to the limitations of system-level testing in simulating the heat transfer of real engine oil,the whole machine test has become a key means to comprehensively evaluate engine performance. This article elaborates on the key conditions of the test, including the determination of the most dangerous icing conditions, the selection of ambient atmospheric temperature and pressure, and the influence of engine condition.Through the well-designed test procedures and special test equipment,a strict fuel icing test was carried out on a certain type of civil turboshaft engine, and the results were analyzed in detail. The test results show that the engine can still work stably under extreme icing conditions, which fully meets the relevant requirements of airworthiness regulations, and provides a valuable reference for the fuel icing test of other types of engines.
