Strategies for Improving Rehabilitation Accuracy:The Role of Accelerometers
Balance function is essential for maintaining the normal life and quality of life of the human body.Balance dysfunction can lead to a range of adverse effects such as sports injuries,Affecting quality of life and mental health.Real-time assessment and improvement of balance function is critical in research and clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effectiveness of accelerometers in combination with Tecnobody in evaluating balancing functions,Especially considering whether accelerometers can be an economical and easy-to-use alternative to costly and complex Tecnobody balancers. We selected 15 female college students aged between 18 and 22 years to conduct a tandem stand-up test,An anti-tandem test, and a one-legged test,First using an accelerometer for data collection,Followed by a six-item balance test on a Tecnobody balancer.Through a detailed analysis of data such as motion trajectory,Posture shift,And center of gravity shift, the performance of the two devices was compared. The results of the study showed that both the accelerometer and the Tecnobody had a higher R2 score in the balance function assessment,Indicating that the accelerometer was comparable to the Tecnobody in terms of accuracy. This finding supports the feasibility of using accelerometers as an economical and practical alternative. In this study,We demonstrate the effectiveness of accelerometers in evaluating balance functions,While also providing a more convenient and cost-effective alternative to traditional balance function evaluations.
