In this paper,we give an overview of the recent developments in the area of pseudo-parabolic equa-tions,including the physical background,and the study from the perspective of viscosity.A significant part of the paper is devoted to the asymptotic behavior of the solutions for semi-linear pseudo-parabolic equations,which is an in-depth research field at present.
