The development trends of utilization and management of human genetic resources in the era of phenomics
Human genetic resources refer to genetic material or information that can be used individually or collectively to identify human characteristics.This includes all samples derived from the human body,as well as the data and related information generated from human samples.Human genetic resources form an important material and information foundation for biomedical research,providing essential data for understanding and mastering the occurrence,development,and distribution patterns of diseases.They are also crucial for promoting the development of disease prevention,intervention,and control strategies.Therefore,human genetic resources have become strategic,public welfare,and fundamental resources for public health and life safety.With the advent of the phenomics era,it has become essential to assess the rational and legal acquisition,management,development,and sharing of human genetic resources in scientific research.This article provides a comprehensive review of the current status and development trends in the management of human genetic resources,as well as their connection to phenomics.
