Study on treatment of alkaline organic brine by aeration method
Taking the smoke absorption liquid produced by incinerator unit as an example, the removal ef-fect of the organic component in alkaline brine by compressed air aeration method was studied by using the atmospheric-pressure tower module in Aspen Plus software. The results showed that based on low consump-tion of compressed air and small plate number, the TOC(total organic carbon)content of the organic brine could be reduced to no more than 5 mg/L,reaching the TOC standard of the brine that can be reused in the caustic soda unit, and realizing the recycling and reuse of industrial wastewater. The aeration experiment was carried out based on the atmospheric-pressure packed tower, and the obtained data were similar to the results from simulated calculation, which proved the authenticity of the simulated calculation data and the technical reliability of the compressed air aeration method for treating the organic brine. The operation pro-cess of the aeration process is simple, and the cost effectiveness are very significant.
