Preparation of high-purity o-chlorotoluene by adsorptive separation of trace p-chlorotoluene
The adsorptive separation method is used to remove PCT from OCT,thus obtaining a high-purity OCT product. The thermodynamic study of PCT adsorption shows that the adsorption of PCT on the adsor-bent is a spontaneous process. The adsorption process has the characteristic of entropy decrease and is an exothermic process. The kinetic study of PCT adsorption shows that the pseudo-second-order adsorption ki-netic model can better describe the adsorption kinetic behavior of PCT on the adsorbent. The results of batch adsorption and desorption show that the adopted adsorbent maintains good adsorption performance during 40 regeneration cycles, and the optimal regeneration temperature is 180℃.The results of continuous adsorp-tion desorption show that the optimal feed flow rate during adsorption is 0.065 g/min,and the adsorption temperature is normal temperature.During desorption, the optimal feed flow rate is 0.3 g/min,and the de-sorption temperature is 60℃.The mass fraction of OCT obtained after adsorption can reach more than 99.95%.
