Progress in clinical research on traditional Chinese medicine treatment of psoriasis
Psoriasis,also known as"Bai Bi"in traditional Chinese medicine,is one of the top ten stubborn skin diseases in the world.It has two major characteristics:recurrence tendency and persistence.Symptoms such as itching and scaling seriously affect the quality of life of patients,and patients have suffered significant impacts both physically and psychologically.It has been found that the treatment of psoriasis is challenging,limited,and challenging.With the inheritance and innovative development of traditional Chinese medicine,traditional Chinese medicine,as culture in treasure of China,has played an indispensible role and advantage in the treat-ment of psoriasis,guided by its unique"holistic and dialectical"thinking,unique diagnostic and treatment methods,and remarkable therapeutic effects.This article focuses on the norms and requirements proposed in the latest version of the diagnosis and treatment guidelines for psoriasis(2023 version),and discusses the overview of psoriasis and the traditional Chinese medicine treatment meth-ods for psoriasis from two sections.It fully explores and organizes the relevant ideas and theoretical views of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in treating psoriasis,and discusses the current status of common internal and external treatment methods for psoria-sis in clinical practice in the past five years,including ethnic medicine diagnosis and treatment,operational techniques,and related treatment methods to comprehensively organize the therapeutic effects and analyze the existing problems and shortcomings,in order to provide reference and inspiration for the later research on traditional Chinese medicine prevention and treatment of psoriasis,and to provide suggestions and new ideas for further clinical research on psoriasis.
