Clinical study of modified Suoquan Decoction combined with low-frequency ultrasound guide drug in the treatment of over-active bladder syndrome in middle-aged and elderly people
Objective Investigate the clinical efficacy of modified Suoquan Decoction and low-frequency ultrasound-guided drug delivery of tartaric acid tolterodine sustained release tablets in the treatment of bladder overactivity in patients with spleen and kidney qi deficiency,as well as the safety of this treatment protocol. Methods Ninety-six patients with bladder overactivity of spleen and kidney qi deficiency were randomly divided into three groups, with 32 patients in each group. The control group 1 received oral ad-ministration of modified Suoquan Decoction combined with low-frequency ultrasound-guided drug delivery, the control group 2 re-ceived tolterodine treatment, and the treatment group received both modified Suoquan Decoction and tolterodine combined with low-frequency ultrasound-guided drug delivery. The treatment course was 4 weeks. The changes in OABSS score,OAB-Qol score, and TCM syndrome score were observed before and after treatment to evaluate the overall efficacy and safety of the three groups of pa-tients.Results During the study period,12 patients withdrew due to various reasons and were considered as dropouts. In the final statistical and analysis,84 patients were included, with 28 patients in each group. After the end of the study period,it was found that the total effective rates of the control group 1,the control group 2,and the treatment group were 53.57%,60.71%and 85.71%,re-spectively.The overall efficacy of the treatment group was significantly better than that of the other two groups(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the two control groups(P>0.05).The TCM syndrome score and OABSS score of all patients were significantly lower after treatment(P<0.05),and the scores of the treatment group were significantly lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).No significant adverse events or reactions occurred during the treatment period. Conclusion Modified Suoquan Decoction combined with low-frequency ultrasound-guided drug delivery is significantly effective in the treatment of bladder overactivity in middle-aged and elderly patients. It can significantly improve symptoms, reduce the frequency of western usage and thus reduce the occurrence of side effects, and improve patient compliance and quality of life.
