A survey on the abuse of Oxazepam in outpatient clinics of a tertiary psychiatric hospital
Objective To understand the current situation of Oxazepam abuse and explore the influencing factors of its abuse and dependence. Methods From May to October 2023,patients who were prescribed Oxazepam in the outpatient department of the hospital were selected as the study subjects and were surveyed using a questionnaire. Results A total of 345 patients were in-vestigated,including 151 males and 194 females, with an average age of(46.46±17.82)years;32 patients with dependency di-agnosis were screened, including 12 males and 20 females, with an average age of(53.34±13.75)years old.The results of logis-tic regression analysis showed that family members'unreasonable management of drugs, patients'poor knowledge of rational drug use,and not following the same doctor may be influencing factors for Oxazepam dependence. Conclusion The abuse and depend-ence of Oxazepam pose certain risks, clinical doctors should also pay attention. For patients with family members neglecting drug management, those with poor knowledge of rational drug use,and those who do not revisit multiple times, different intervention measures should be taken. If drug dependence patients are found, timely withdrawal intervention treatment should be carried out.
