A clinical report of Roxadustat related adverse drug reactions and literature review
Objective To investigate the safety of Roxadustat on anemia to improve understanding of its adverse drug reactions. Methods Clinical data of a patient with dialysis-dependent chronic kidney disease(DD-CKD)and renal anemia who were treated with Roxadustat and experienced treatment-emergent adverse events was retrospectively analyzed, and related literature was reviewed. Results After treated with Roxadustat, the patient has severe symptoms of diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting, and laboratory tests indi-cated concurrent liver failure. After admission, continuous renal replacement therapy(CRRT),protecting liver function,anti-infec-tion,and other treatments were given to the patient. The patient's symptoms and laboratory results gradually improved, and ultimately the patient was discharged from the hospital. Conclusion As a novel oral medication for the renal anemia, further researches are needed on the adverse drug reactions with Roxadustat,we need to strengthen the understanding of its adverse drug reactions during the use of Roxadustat.
