Survey of the current status of nutritional risk screening among 579 medical staff
Objective To investigate and understand the cognitive level and training needs on nutrition risk screening of inpa-tients among medical staff in Yunnan Province,and to provide a reference for exploring the clinical nutrition management training program suitable for the province.Methods Convenient sampling was used to conduct an online survey of medical staff in Yunnan province from November to December 2023.Results A total of 579 medical personnel participated in the survey,including 267 doc-tors(46.11%),291 nurses(50.26%)and 21 other medical technicians(3.63%).The respondents paid more attention to the nutri-tional risk screening of hospitalized patients,but the awareness rate of NRS 2002 was only 32.15%,and 49.07%of the participants performed the nutritional risk screening only for some patients.For related training needs,369(63.73%)medical staff said they were very needed and were more willing to receive continuous online training.Conclusion The knowledge reserve of nutritional risk screening for medical staff in Yunnan Province is insufficient,and the training demand is urgent.The next step will be to scientifically construct training programs based on clinical needs,in order to further improve the routine and standardization of clinical nutritional risk screening work.
