Study on the correlation between thyroid diseases and dyslipidemia in middle-aged and elderly population
Objective To investigate the relationship between thyroid dysfunction and dyslipidemia in middle-aged and elderly people undergoing physical examination in Lanzhou,Gansu Province. Methods A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted among the middle-aged and elderly people who participated in medical checkups from March 2023 to December 2023 at Gansu Pro-vincial People's Hospital. Results Q The detection rate of thyroid nodules(TN)was 85.74%in middle-aged and elderly people o-ver 45 years old.The detection rate of thyroid function abnormalities was 14.80%;among them,SHYPO was the most common, with a detection rate of 13.09%.The detection rate gradually increased with age.② A stratified analysis of the age groups showed that TSH levels gradually increased with age.③ As TSH levels gradually increased, the detection rate of hyper-TCemia gradually in-creased,while the detection rate of hyper-TGemia and hypo-HDL-Cemia gradually decreased. Conclusion Thyroid diseases in the middle-aged and elderly population in Lanzhou are mainly thyroid nodules and subclinical hypothyroidism(SHYPO),which are asso-ciated with the risk of dyslipidemia,so early detection and intervention of thyroid function should be carried out in middle-aged and elderly people.
