The effect of"Internet+continuous nursing"service on the quality of life of elderly patients with mild disability and their family caregiver readiness
Objective To explore the application effect of"Internet+continuous nursing"service in elderly patients with mild disability and their family caregivers.Methods A randomized controlled trial was used in this study.80 cases of elderly patients with mild disability were divided into the control group and the intervention group,40 cases in each group.The intervention group re-ceived"Internet+continuous nursing"service,and the control group received traditional continuous nursing service.Differences be-tween the two groups were compared by assessing quality of life(SF-36),activities of daily living(Barthel index),and caregiver readiness(GPS)of their family caregivers.Results The results showed that compared with the control group,the elderly patients with mild disability in the intervention group significantly improved their performance in overall health,physical function,social func-tion,emotional role,etc.(P<0.01),and the Barthel index score was significantly improved(P<0.01),their family caregivers'car-egiver readiness(GPS)score was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion"Internet+continu-ous nursing"service can effectively improve the quality of life of elderly patients with mild disability and improve their activities of daily living.The introduction of this service can make up for the shortcomings of traditional nursing service in timeliness,channel di-versity and convenience,and provide more efficient,convenient and diversified forms of nursing service.It also has a positive impact on the caregiver readiness of their family caregivers.
