Clinical effect of banxia Houpo decoction in the treatment of senileacid reflux disease patients with Qi-stagnation syndrom
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Banxia Houpo Decoction on senile gastroesophageal reflux disease(GERD)with Qi stagnation and phlegm obstruction.Methods 60 patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral esomeprazole magnesium enteric coated tablets and droperidol tonmelitracin tablets,while the observation group was treated with oral esomeprazole magnesium enteric coated tablets and modified Banxia Houpo Decoction for 8 weeks.Clinical symptom scores,Hamilton Depression Scale-17(HAMD-17),Hamilton Anxiety Scale-14(HAMA-14),and Heart Rate Variability(HRV)indicators were compared before and after treatment,as well as between the two groups of patients.Results After treatment,the clinical symptom score,HAMD-17 score,HAMA-14 score,and HRV indicators of the two groups of patients showed significant changes compared to before treatment(P＜0.01).There was a sig-nificant difference in HRV indicators between the groups,including Low Frequency(LF)and LF/HF(P＜0.05).Conclusion The combination of modified Banxia Houpo Decoction and esomeprazole magnesium enteric coated tablets can significantly improve the main symptoms of elderly GERD patients with Qi Stagnation and Phlegm Obstruction,and alleviate their negative emotions.
