A survey on the nutritional status of hospitalized elderly patients undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation and analysis of its influencing factors
Objective To investigate the nutritional status of hospitalized elderly patients undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation, explore possible influencing factors of malnutrition risk, and provide reference for better clinical nutrition work for pulmonary rehabili-tation patients. Methods A total of 257 elderly pulmonary rehabilitation patients admitted to Shanghai Second Rehabilitation Hospi-tal for treatment in 2023 were selected as the research subjects.Basic information and auxiliary examination results of the research subjects were collected, and their nutritional status was investigated and evaluated using a mini nutrition scale,Statistical analysis was conducted using univariate and multivariate regression methods. Results Among all 257 research subjects,135 were rated as having normal nutritional status,116 were rated as at risk of malnutrition, and 6 were rated as having malnutrition. The results of univariate analysis showed that factors such as gender, age, number of existing children, education level, dental condition, coronary heart dis-ease,tracheostomy status, hemoglobin, lymphocyte percentage, total protein, albumin, prealbumin, blood creatinine, urea nitrogen, uric acid, chloride ions, etc.were statistically significant(P<0.05).The results of multivariate analysis showed that factors such as edu-cation level, dental condition, tracheostomy status, total protein, albumin, prealbumin, blood creatinine, urea nitrogen, uric acid, etc.were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of malnutrition and the risk of malnutrition in hospitalized elderly patients undergoing pulmonary rehabilitation is relatively high, and their nutritional assessment should be taken seriously and intervention measures should be taken accordingly.
