Research progress in nursing care of elderly patients with moisture associated skin damage
Elderly patients due to the decline in physical function, skin function will be correspondingly weakened, sweat glands and sebaceous glands secretion is also reduced, the protective layer of the skin surface will become thinner, the skin is more vulnera-ble to a variety of physical and chemical stimulation damage,so that elderly patients become a high incidence of moisture associated skin damage(MASD)population. In order to deepen the cognition of clinical nurses on the incidence of MASD in elderly patients and optimize their clinical coping strategies, this paper reviews the research progress in nursing care of MASD in elderly patients.Based on the detailed analysis of relevant literature in recent years, the types and status of research on MASD were reviewed in detail, the application of various assessment tools in diagnosis and nursing was deeply discussed, and the progress of nursing intervention was comprehensively summarized. In addition, this paper also prospectively discusses the potential value and application prospect of con-tinuous intelligent care in the management of elderly patients of MASD,in order to provide a new perspective for future research.By integrating and collecting the latest research results, the aim is to provide clinical nurses with a more comprehensive and indepth un-derstanding of MASD in the elderly patients,so as to provide innovative perspectives and practical strategies for their clinical prac-tice.
